disorganized programming language thoughts

js- hacky and feels like putting blocks together (in a good way) 6/10

rust- consistent sometimes to a fault, i dont have to worry about memory while keeping things relatively low level tho! 8/10

zig- havent used in a while but it was crunchy (was c inspired clearly but the syntax was pleasantly weird in some places. most vivid feelings while typing a language) 7/10

go- smooth DX but also it feels Odd. its like that one smoothed out spongebob. works good though and works pretty well 7/10

c- crunchy but not pleasant. old ass language and it shows 5/10

python- gross. feels like its trying too hard to be friendly and by doing so makes it harder to write (white-space being neccesary is my enemy. LET ME USE CURLY BRACES) 3/10

elixir- havent used in a while but felt much more like "how do i speak in this" and thus i do not feel qualified to rate it ?/10

gdscript- like python but worse typing but better usecase (i like godot on princible) 3/10

haxe- JAVAscript. its some unholy combo of both (i wouldnt be surprised if its close to actionscript, though im not gonna write that) the syntax isnt weird per-say but it smells like java 4/10

odin- feels like what haxe and go's much better child should be. has the niceties of both languages with the caveat of being very game-dev centric (caveat? idk its good iirc) 6/10 (havent used much tbh)

uiua- ponder the orb (very odd language, similar to elixir but the syntax is also just really fun and the way it executes is very fun and makes me think better as a programmer) 8/10

java- i havent used this in forever and i dont want to. the standard library is named bad and the oop-ness is too much for me 4/10

c++- no ?/10

typescript- javascript got a job! types are nice but also short-sighted, it still needs to grow up imo 6.5/10
